About Kelsey Elizabeth Faye

Hi, I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Kelsey. An energetic, chocolate loving adventure seeker who holds onto childhood joy like it’s my job.

I’ve been a dreamer and a believer for as long as I can remember. I remember telling people when I was 8 that I would grow up to be a lawyer. I didn’t say I wanted to be, I said I was going to be (obviously I was WRONG, but still).

This confidence spread into everything I did… except singing. Singing always felt more vulnerable, and less possible - even though I was always in the top choir in my school. It felt like something I was either good at or bad at, and could maybe improve a bit if I tried. Boy was I wrong!

It wasn’t until I was out of college that I started feeling more confident about my voice. This shift had nothing to do with my ability. In fact, I hadn’t practiced in years at this point. The difference was that my wife start complimenting my singing- unprompted. This affirmation gave me the boost I needed to apply my love for learning and possibilities to singing, and I haven’t looked back since.

I like to tell this part of background because it greatly influences the way I teach. I WAS the girl who was in choir, doing the things, and so afraid to make a mistake. I never had an environment that encouraged me and gave me the comfort I needed to be able to grow as a singer and performer. Because of this experience, I lead all of my teaching with joy, a learning mindset, and a celebration of mistakes.

As a performer and teacher, I hope to instill into my students the LOVE for singing and performing, the mindset you need to keep improving, and the kindness that goes a long way in this industry.

Please reach out to me with any questions! I am so excited to meet you!

All good things,

Kelsey
